Kasandra graduated from San Francisco State University with a music degree in performance and had a successful career concertizing in the bay area. After moving to southern California she then transitioned to music composition creating numerous musical scores for experimental films including works that were screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as well as many notable international film festivals. In the early 2000’s she became inspired with the mosaic art of ancient Greece and Rome and began creating her own mosaic panels, an interest that continues to this day. She currently lives in Agua Dulce California just outside of Los Angeles. All mosaic pieces in the gallery are available for purchase unless marked sold.
